The FAERIE TALES SERIES is an absolutely magical compilation that whisks readers to a land full of beauty and enchantment. Readers, young and old, will delight in adventures of Brigitta, a genuinely happy go-lucky young faerie who always rises to the occasion when trouble is near (even if she has some minor missteps along the way). Accompanied by her loyal friends, Brigitta’s journeys are whimsical and captivating, yet relatable to middle grade readers. As questions over destiny accompany the very real danger, our young female heroine shows us that you can be brave while being scared and unsure. The stories beautifully build on one another and add new wonderful characters while encountering troubles of the White Forest, but the author provides a lexicon for each that is helpful for readers to follow along. What is even more amazing is the author’s real-world connection with an acknowledgment of how texts change over time as new discoveries are made and revealed to readers. Kudos to adding that perhaps small, yet meaningful detail to these books, and one that is seemingly more important when reading the complete series.

Sometimes when you get to book 4,5, or 6 in a series the stories get a bit predictable and/or repetitive. Fortunately this author continues to suprise me and keep me guessing what will happen next. She has the magic touch when it comes to world building and her dialogue is never dry or boring! If you enjoy magical lands & fairies I highly suggest this series!
