"A whimsical twist on a classic fairy tale with plenty of twists, turns, and sass for early chapter readers.” – Kirkus Reviews

RED ALERT FOR FAIRY TALE LAND: Sylvia Locke is out and ready to cause mischief.

Once upon a time in Fairy Tale Land, there lived a very bad girl indeed. Sylvia Locke may have been abandoned by her adventuring parents but that’s no excuse for being mean to her loving grandparents, rude to everyone at school, and even bullying rare magical creatures. Right?

One day, when out on a break-and-enter job at the Bear family’s house, Sylvia happens upon a magical mirror that turns out to be more than she bargained for. Could even a kid like Sylvia find a friend? Could some warm and fuzzies change her heart?

The first book in Tairy Fails, a modern fractured fairy tale humor series that will have elementary school kids and early chapter book readers screaming with laughter.

Reviews:

"Will have readers doubled over with laughter as they follow one very bad girl, Sylvia Locke . . . This is a gem of a magical story that will enchant young readers." - ReadersFavorite (5 Star Review)

"Families will love the comedic spin the chapter book takes on a classic fairytale. It deserves more than five stars! I'll be on the lookout for book two in the Tairy Fails series, and I know once your family and class read this story, they will be, too." - Superkambrook (Kam's Place)

"The perfect story of the pains of a growing teen, with characters based on those we all know and love." - ReadersFavorite (5 Star Review)

MAAN HOUSE Interview

· List your favorite graphic novels or comics from when you were a child and talk about how

you see them as an adult.

When I was a kid I didn't have graphic novels, but the first ones I remember reading were the first issues of "Spawn" and the first issues of "The Crow". To this day those works serve as inspiration to me.

· What are some of your favorites (and why):

o Movies (Classic or Current)

o Books

o Series (TV/Streaming)

o Video Games

Among my favorite films of late are "The Witch", "Hereditary" and "Smile", because they remind me of horror classics, in terms of storytelling. As for the series, I liked "Servant" and "Them."

A current book that I have liked is Mariana Enríquez's novel "Our Share of Night."

· List your favorite graphic novels from last year and why you like them.

Among the graphic novels of last year, I liked “Sgt.Rock vs the Army of dead", I'm a fan of war stories and the piece is drawn by one of my favorite artists, also I liked "Do A Powerbomb " because I love the explosion of dynamism that the artist gives to the piece.

As for what's coming up this year, I'm looking forward to Brian azzarello and Eduardo Risso's  “The Blood Brothers Mother,".

· Talk about your favorite (and least favorite) type of character to create/draw (Maan) and

create/write (Daniel).

I like to draw characters that reflect the darkness they have inside, which I can adapt to my dark, and noir drawing style.

· Is there anything else you’d like to share with readers about THE CEMETERIANS?

With "The Cemeterians" I was able to develop everything I like, such as the horror reflected in all those films and books that I mentioned above, I have had the pleasure of capturing all that in this work. I hope horror lovers like it!
